Free and Reduced Lunch

Families must apply annually for free and reduced lunch.  The application, instructions, and income guidelines for the Federal Free Lunch Program can be found below.

In addition to the Federal program, the State of New Jersey is phasing in "free lunch for all" over the next five years.  This means that those who do not qualify for Federal free or reduced lunch may qualify for the NJ program, which has lower, and annually decreasing, income thresholds.

If you do not qualify for the Federal Free Lunch program, anyone who applies is automatically evaluated using state guidelines.  You do not have to apply to both programs.  Therefore, everyone is encouraged to complete an application.
