The Lebanon Township School District maintains a grievance procedure for handling discrimination/harassment complaints. The grievance procedure is initiated with the filing of a complaint with the Affirmative Action Officer.

Equity Plan/Professional Development Training on Equity Issues

Federal and state laws require Boards of Education to establish procedures that ensure equity in employment and educational services. All Lebanon Township staff are trained in recognition and remediation of discriminatory practices, disability and sexual harassment or bias, and all other prejudicial practices.

The Lebanon Township Equity Plan ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations concerning affirmative action. This plan delineates the Board of Education’s responsibilities, outlines a program for staff development and training, ensures that all school and classroom practices are non-discriminatory, and that employment and contract practices are non-biased. The Superintendent of Schools annually signs a “Statement of Assurance” attesting to full implementation of the district’s equity plan and the district’s intention to identify and correct any form of discrimination.
